Listening Guide Method

The Listening Guide (LG) Method draws on voice, resonance, and relationships as “ports of entry into the human psyche”, a window to the internal world.
LG is comprised of a series of steps which offers a way to tune into the multiple simultaneous voices in one person. The LG is based on the assumptions that people exist in relationship to one another and self cannot be separated from culture.
Developed by Carol Gilligan and her research team over 10 years, is grounded in Gilligan (1982) work on identity and moral development from her work with Erik Erikson and Lawrence Kohlberg
